After 20 years in the industry as a coder, systems architect and manager, it’s safe to say Daniel Wright knows a thing or two about coding and systems design.

Dan is passionate about creating simple, robust and maintainable code that will long survive his involvement.

Already an adept mentor to individuals and teams, Dan has also shown he’s equally comfortable speaking in front of crowds.

He’s design savvy, a relentless problem solver, an energy drink aficionado and one of the nicest opinionated people you’ll ever meet. Known for being an innovator and influencer at every company he works at, employers eventually come to love Dan’s no-nonsense way of walking the planet.

You may think with all he’s accomplished that he might be unapproachable, but he remains one of the most humble and down-to-earth guys around.


Dan likes writing code, graphic design, typography, simplicity, whimsy, movie scores, dubstep, pop music, cinematography, the original Star Wars trilogy, the Star Trek reboots, lens flares.

Dan loves user interface design and user experience.

Dan is obsessed with the design of Disney theme park attractions.

  • 2013 ~ Created iPad App for Toy Fair purchasing and inventory management
  • 2000 ~ Created legal mp3 music restreaming service at AUT
  • 1994 ~ Created my first webpages in NCSA Mosaic
  • 1992 ~ Started running The Difference Engine BBS
  • 1985 ~ Wrote first computer code on Apple II+
